Be as accurate as you can, I did mine lying down between a right angled box and a wall, arm span was lying on my front (there is almost 20mm difference when on my back)

HaHa! I'm not very good climbing but everything else about me is like an ape, especially mrs Num Num says because my thick brows and yellow teeth.
In reply to willoates: Mine used to be plus 9 inches but I did too much weight training a number of years ago - as recovery from a serious accident - and now its plus 7inches. someone once described it as "that historic reach".

People have been using the +1 +2 etc for alot longer than the other formula so if you want to convert it then fair enough by don't expect people to do it for you
