Lucy has put together a brilliant article on her recent visit to Chamonix and the Conville course she attended while there. Anyone that is interested in reading it (complete with some excellent photography) go here

Thanks to Lucy for a great article full of the excitement of a first trip to the Alps. Takes me back to 1989 when the first route I did was on the Aig du Tour, and everything was new, shiny & exciting!

Severus Snape ran the Alb 1er refuge then!

I'm blushing. Its quite exciting this writing lark. Shame I can't get so enthusiatic about writing my PhD....

I think you got it just right, took a bit of nerve though taking a picture when you have fallen into a crevasse.
You won't forget that lesson, good article and the first of many we hope.
Glad you enjoyed the trip.
