Due to popular demand, we've compiled a list of the top 100 posters for the whole of 2008.

In reply to Al Evans: Did you see that Bruce Hooker actually wrote more than either of you? At 380,000 words in a year, that is really going some.

Apparently the complete works of Shakespeare comes in at 884,647 words...

I appear to have written 130,000 - just unfortunately on here instead of towards my PhD....

7th in the words/post stakes, suggests I go on a bit sometimes....

In reply to Nick Smith - UKC: Yep I was only third on words posted And the only reason I am n.o 1 is that I always forget something, and then have to do a PS, if we could edit for as long as we can delete I would have far less posts (but I understand why you don't allow that, creative editing could be done)

In reply to UKC Forums: John Wood's at number 11 despite being banned since lord knows when. I reckon he'd have been a hot* contender for the number one spot if he'd stayed on Mick and Alan's good side.

I think his ban should be rescinded. I miss him.

In reply to UKC Forums: as suspected 95th in 2007 - and not placed at all in 2008.. phew, getting a new job really HAS helped in curtailing my activities on here..


although i must profess to being dissapointed with the standards/levels of posting. I seem to recall posting about 1500 last time - which if i'd done the same this year would have resulted in about 45/50th. Clearly levels are dropping..
