I work in Trafford and am staying near Glossop, so somewhere close to the latter would be best for getting home easily after a glass of shandy.
Only crags I know of in the area are the Kinder crags which are a bit of a flog for an evening, and Castle Naze and Windgather which don't inspire me too much. Looking for VS/HVS routes.

Any suggestions?

Depending on where you are in glossop, about 5-15 mins away (also traffic dependant...)

On route from Manchester too!

Thanks, have been there once before, about 30 years ago IIRC.
May give it another try!

It was a total dump at one point, but it is really good as an after work venue. Catches all the sun going!

Perfect - could hardly be more convenient!
I'm actually in Charlesworth, so turn off there for Broadbottom.
Thanks

Or you could go to Cown Edge Rocks: http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/crag.php?id=9802

Although it is only bouldering, i would be happy to meet you there one evening, as it is within walking disdance of my house.
