Nikwax Techwash V Ecover Liquid

A couple of wet days work in Wales coming up - so time for washing the Paramo.

Just noticed that Techwash is £11.00 per litre and the manufacturer recommends 100ml to wash 1-2 garments. So that is working out at £1.10 per wash.

Ecover Liquid is £2.00 something from Tesco for 1.5 litre and you only need a small cap ful (40-50ml) for a wash - so cost for a jacket - about 0.07p.

Hmmm - £1.10 v £0.07 - am I missing something here or are we being conned?

In reply to David Hooper: The ecover stuff may still be a detergent, just not with the same level of chemicals as others. I Reckon soap flakes are probably the best option unless you can find a chemist to interpret the ingerdients list for you!
