A while back there was a thread on home van conversions and folks were mentioning companies that do insurance specifically for them.

What were they called?

Any others?

I can't think of any off the top of my head sorry. I searched a few forums online, DIY camper van forums, and found a couple of names but forgot them now.

Sorry, I wasn't asking you in particular, just bumping the thread as Adrian Flux didn't ring any bells.

Also try Frank Pickles, the most helpful, normal, friendly, understanding, knowledgable insurance company I've ever dealt with

They are bloody marvelous. In a world of tick box call centres FP will answer the phone and you get to speak to a real person who will understand when you tell them about modifications.

I speak as a driver of a very modded 4x4 and it was nice to talk to an insurance broker who was enthusiastic and also knew what "axle breathers" were and that they shouldn't push a premium up
