Does anyone have any thoughts on the idea of building a free standing adult climbing frame from steel tubes and key clamps. I get bored with small home walls and thought a frame could be more versatile. Free to move in a lot of directions, various radii(?) of tubes being kind to the fingers or full grip if I need to.
Seems like a good fun idea to swing and hang about on to me but any input would be helpful.
1. It'll be cold in the winter (tuffen yer up yer wimp)
2. It'll freak the neighbours out

In reply to ashuk:

I have a 'climbing frame' in my garden, it is a 'kids' swing frame made by TP Toys. It's made from 50mm dia tubes, very solid for pull ups etc. I have attached logs to it for ice axe training, pretty fun stuff although the neighbours think its weird. It's also good for practicing rigging of things like pulley systems etc. I did plan to have other things hanging from it, different holds/a campus board but I never really felt the need in the end.

The frame is quite expensive new but I managed to get one from gumtree for £20 so it was a no brainer.
