No details yet, but after having been close many times, Chris Sharma has made the 2nd ascent of La dura dura, 9b+, at Oliana.
The line was bolted by Sharma but Adam Ondra made the first ascent in the beginning of February this year, suggesting 9b+. I haven't had time to get in touch with Chris...

"training"? I thought Sharma famously didn't train, not in the systematic sense anyway. He reportedly climbs all the time instead: lives amidst his projects and gets out as much as possible. More a victory for talent and enthusiasm maybe.
Based on the dura dura film he has a board in his back garden.
d there's always a fine line anyway - the difference between trying optimistically hard things that will take you years or be impossible and strength training is just a matter of definition, no?
Oh and what an awesome effort. Wonder what he will try next - the multi-touch thing from the dura dura finale, perfecto mundo, be cool to see where he ends up...
So if he reclimbs the same route again and again (as for la dura dura), what is this, but training?! I do not mean the standard way of training, but specific training. There just one word, but a whole range of meanings...

Well done Chris!

I think for most people trying to come even close to climbing the volume that Sharma does would be indication enough that he does indeed train. Who needs a board when you are surrounded by all that Spanish limestone
