NEWS: Tokyo Olympic Wall Installation Completed amid COVID-19 Complications

The Speed, Boulder and Lead walls forming the site of the inaugural Olympic Sport Climbing event due to be held at the Aomi Urban Sports Park in Tokyo this August are built and ready in time for an upcoming test event, the IFSC has announced. Meanwhile, concerns about the impact of the Covid-19 virus on the Games are being raised by the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee and the International Olympic Committee, and the IFSC is considering the effect on upcoming qualification events.

Just when you thought things were becoming clear on qualification we have this wrinkle.

So....looking back at Hachioji, the next non-Japan Asia female athlete seems to be Chaehyun Seo (13th) and the male Asian athlete is Jongwon Chong (20th). 

If we look at Toulouse it is Yiling Song (9th female) and Jongwon Chon (17th male).

Seems like Chon is in either way. Hard to tell from the way the statement is written whether they'll look at Hachioji or Toulouse results.

The World Championships was Hachioji, so it would be Seo and Chon if they resort to this measure.
