Last weekend over a hundred climbers, predominantly women, some men, a few children and a dog or two gathered together in the Peak District for the second Women's Trad Festival. The name of the game was trad climbing, and women connecting, sharing skills, and inspiring each other.
This is great, certainly a lot more positive than that last article coming from across the pond who were somehow suggesting fault on the side of the male side. If this inspires more women to trad climb then wonderful.

Tom Livingstone and Slovenian partner Gašper Pintar have made a first ascent on the south face of Mt. Dickey (2909m) in Alaska's Ruth Gorge over four days, naming the line 'The Great Wall.'
