Black Diamond's Vipers are beautiful, highly technical tools offering exceptional clearance and balance, yet also make good all round tools and are very versatile. They can be set up with a larger version of the standard hammer and adze and the harder T-rated Titan picks to give them a distinctly Scottish look and feel. If continental ice is more your thing then use them with two micro hammers and the standard laser B rated picks. The fang and strike are removable and they plunge well too. All in all a good choice for your first technical tool if you're planning on progressing through the grades quickly.
Black Diamond Titan Picks
Black Diamond's Titan pick is their most durable, it offers solid performance on ice or rock. The Titan pick is an excellent all-around choice, providing dependable function during any use. CEN-T certified; weight: 99g (3.5 oz).
