Great route. Very committing sequence at the start and some interesting but well protected moves above. Nice to get on this and cruise it after climbing Chequers Buttress start and backing off previously on an off day. Brilliant climbing and tough at HVS due to the exposure at the start.

Never got started really. Climbed the easy start and lowered off at the start of the upper section. Too lethargic and just couldn't get psyched today.

Started up Chequers Buttress as that's where James had put all the gear. The start as described looks unreasonably bold (and a bit hard) for HVS. Nearly fell off the top, which is probably E1 too.

Kind of an onsight. Ish. Got my hands at the top of the groove then stepped right... There is a lovely technical move on the upper section

Lovely technical climbing, spicy start if you stick left and get off the ramp asap.

Have done harder E2s than this. The start is tricky and very bold and a fall would probably result in hitting the dorsal of Chequers Buttress. The second 5b crux on the upper section involves a long reach and is excellent. Worthwhile route but not one that I will be rushing to lead!

Got pretty scared on the start, so placed a cam mega fast and the rest was ok. Belayer confirmed the ground fall potential after the first section. Definitely E1

Got to be E1 the crux is desperate with gear placed low & will swing you into the ramp.

Not sure how many people do the proper start up to the left of the flake!!. I was seconding so went for it! Its bloody hard for HVS, defo E1 especially the start which is unprotected

Seems pretty hard for HVS - definitely a grade harder than Chequers Buttress.
