A great pitch which felt pretty tough to me. Steep and pumpy crux. Decent gear throughout. Pleased to get it done as we nearly bailed from ogwen due to rain and high temps.

1st grade IV/5 mixed lead climb. Tower gully was lean, some snow but mainly ice, which made for some interesting steps and the tower pitch was an education in Mixed & tooling. Some debate on the true winter nature of this climb, the purists would argue it was too 'black'but I can't see it being much harder / different. Guess I'll have to come back and do it again ! Part of a great alpine day which included a descent of Y Gribin in the dark & mist and getting back to car at 8.45.
