Beeston Eliminate*** HVS 5a
74m, 3 pitches.

Rockfax Description
The long rising-diagonal, and highest of the three girdles, is one of the major lines on the cliff and offers a superb outing with some astounding positions at the grade. Harder for the tall and potentially a bit of a gripper to second.
1) 4b, 35m. Start by the tree on the path, 10m right of a small cave and follow the cleaned path of West Wall Climb for two pitches to the sheltered stance at the start of the break.
2) 5a, 22m. Traverse down and right across the wall following the line of good holds (don't forget the second man) to reach the groove of The Thorn then climb this to the holly tree belay.
3) 5a, 26m. Climb back down rightwards again and get past the horrible spiky bush then cross the fingery wall to regain the break. Follow this (threads) in a wild position, to a grassy rake (thread belays up and left) and an easy escape to the ridge. © ROCKFAX

wow this is everything i look for in a climb, can see it not being everyones cup of tea though, last pitch is the best
admackie - AltLd O/S - 08/Aug/15 with paul renwick

Pitch 1 only and then it started to rain so we abseiled off. We will be back.
gavinpeach - 2nd O/S - 19/Apr/15 with Max Pendleton

Me p1 (p2) and Ripper p2 (p3) in combination with first two pitches of Patience
jon_gill1 - AltLd O/S - 18/Apr/15 with john ripley

Pretty rubbish. Didn't do last pitch as we had to get back to Sheff. Not worth 3 stars IMO.
Duncan Campbell - AltLd O/S - 24/Sep/14 with Stadders

What an excellent climb. First 1/2 pitches to the headwall better than expected. 1st traverse great position. 2nd traverse quite tricky at the start + negotiate the rose bush. At the end go up the grassy gully, don't go up the small butress above the belay....partner pulled off a big chunk and took a factor two fall back down the crag as well as a breeze block sized lump of limestone. Ouch!

The last pitch currently involves climbing through horrendous thorn bushes so beware!
Pete Ogden - AltLd - Jul/12 with Pete Brown

Lead both 5a pitches as John got cut to peices on the overgrown thorn bushes at the start of the last pitch, which are not as overgrown now!The last pitch is what the climb is all about, don't miss it.But do everyone a favour and take your pruning shears just for that one bush.Fantastic route.
