S S special / Sickle >>

Superb crack and face climbing followed by a stiff pull through the roof. 45m. Follow the right hand crack in the flat wall to a ledge. Take the thin crack above to a junction with Sickle at the roof. Pull through this to gain the right side of the undercut flake. Abseil descent, or continue up Sickle. © ROCKFAX

Watched some climber deck from 7m from this route (he was OK surprisingly) before I got on it which added to the tension. Brilliant route, steep with good gear, good holds and good rests, just the way I like it.

Fantastic, went to do Sickle, but another party diverted our attention to the brilliant lower crack section. I'd have climbed it whatever grade it was! Certainly a route of 3 halves, but would have been much better without the massive ledges, as it kind of broke the route up, having said that I was pleased for the rests. Bomber gear with seriously good climbing.

As Tony said - there were 3 hard bits...the start, the middle and the end! Managed the start and middle. Didn't figure out the end. Should have passed the overhang on the right. Might have helped if I had read the guidebook description before leaving the ground.
