lead pitch one and three. one was interesting if a little awkward, lacking in ice. pitch two was fairly cruising apart from two cruxy based pulls. Pitch three was very thin on ice, first Scottish mixed pitch ever, found it fairly challenging although well protected. finished in the dark. 3 *'s for sure.

Really easy and enjoyable climbing. Being leashless made the crux moves much easier. Banged the axes in up high and used a cheeky sidepull to basically free climb that move. Great big footholds as well. Quite powerdy, but there was plenty of good ice. Could have been on the Ben almost as there was lots of solid snow ice which made the route much easier.

Only led the first pitch, where I struggled to find any gear but eventually found something to belay from. Skelhon led the rest and struggled to find gear too. Great climbing, there was a few really cool bits. I probably should've been concentrating a bit more while seconding since a couple of times I ended up hanging from one axe with my feet dangling! Not a bad end to my first week of winter climbing, next time I think I'll have to get hold of some tech axes and really go for it!
