[leading 'The Hypocrite'., 3 kb]20m. A fine hard slab route direct up the wall. The finish is thin and feels bold, unless you find the runner off to the right! © ROCKFAX

Very tough with very good climbing. It's a shame that stepping right and climbing the crack at the top would be so easy to do. Going directly up the wall is solid 6a, with gear at your feet. Lots of delicate 5c and great climbing. Well protected with good climbing, 3* moves in a slightly eliminate position.

Thin climbing but reasonably well protected, used the crack at the right near the top.

very hard top sequence qhich is out of keeping with the rest of the route. gear in the break is bomber but a touch low and the gear out right is fairly poor/medium.

felt hard on the second, glad I sacked it off on the lead. only just amde it

E3 5c, the "runner on the right" is a total sinker, but i thought the crux was below it. Brilliant route

Good climbing, not the best line as it's possible to wander up any point on the slab including onto routes next to this one. Felt more like E3 5c (hard 5c) without the cheeky runner to the right. Fiddly gear as with other routes on the slabs.

Abbed back in at the end of the day to belay Si on his lead. It was obviously a bit too close to high tide as I got wet and ended up standing on the ropes to stop them getting washed away. I had to start up the route to the right and traverse in as the start was under water. Si also dropped two Camalots into the drink! Fun times!

One hard move between the decent crimps on the top section. bomber cam placement above the bolt stub.
