Had to break trail through waist deep snow to get to it. Route was under a lot of snow/ice - absolutely superb Alpine feel, fun in floppy boots with no winter gear! Quite hard to get onto the route with the starting ramp under ice. Done as 3 pitches. A gem in winterish conditions

Pitch 4 is a bit of a struggle onto the nose if you're only 5'4"!! We bailed out halfway up P4 due to freezing wind and slippy rock (Kiwi in big boots). Will return on a sunny day - lovley rock.

Wet rock, incredibly slippy, forget about hand jams! Climbed in 4 pitches with rucksacks and rock shoes, I led P1 and "Pitch" 3. Felt way more sketchy that VDiff but this is mainly due to the rain making smearing and jamming nigh on impossible.

Slightly trickier than It was in Summer due to greasy rock, snow, and seepage. Very slow progress and ran out of quickdraws on pitch 1 and 4! made a mess of rope work and gear placements on pitch 4 wich resulted in severe ropedrag, no quick draws, then gear pulling out beneath me. Scary 20m run out on wet rock! Still great route though. Weather stopped us going up to finish with the Arete

An interesting day. Bit of an (embarrasing) epic :)Mark lead the first 4m or so, then I lead past him. Rock very greasy; didn't help that it rained as I lead. I could't get up the corner, put in two pieces of gear and slowly downclimbed/lowered to Mark's belay at pinacles. Mark led again followed by me who lead to a ledge. Couldn't climb higher as rock too greasy. I set up a belay, brought mark up and lower him off the route whilst he tested the ab rope. Mark climbed round and dropped a rope to me. I ab'd the 25m down the gully on a 50m rope (to avoid an ab' from the pinnacle and having to leave gear behind.

Climbed with Mike and his nephew Joe who was out on the rock for the first time. I lead each pitch and then brought mike and joe up as seconds. Nice route and god chance to me to do a load of leading. once we topped out we walked along to the Cneifion Arete and made a full day of it!
