Sustained and surprisingly pumpy climbing on generally good holds with good gear. The upper wall requires a degree of lateral thinking. Start as for Certain Surprise. 27m. Climb the steep cracks of Certain Surprise and, at its second thread, move right to a slight groove. Climb the hold-infested wall above past double bolts where more good holds allow a peg on the blank wall out right to be clipped. Step down and execute a precarious sequence right to another duo of bolts. Another stiff pull gains positive holds and a final peg. The top is just above. © ROCKFAX
