nothing harder than 5a here and actually felt easier than Short Slab. Not sure how this ever gets E1, but it is a superb route anyway.

Oh, I love slabs!! Decided not to put any in gear, in either of the pockets incase I needed them so was pretty much a solo and very runout (until the break at the top). As it turns out I didn't need both pockets so could of protected the crux.

Pull over the overlap was fairly easy but the tricky move on the slab spooked me a bit, i was expecting the overlap to be the crux. Alright once i got on with it.

Been a while since I've done a grit slab but this was perfectly amenable. HVS 5a (Ant said there was decent gear in a break towards the top). Done on the Saturday morning of Ian's 50th birthday weekend. After soloing Short Slab and a couple of boulder problems to the left, a heavy shower forced us all off the crag. Went on to climb at Stoney in the afternoon.
