More popular climbs too busy so decided to go off the beaten track. One delicate section on the first pitch but it was all there, superb second pitch up the icefall. Felt like we had the whole buttress to ourselves, a great route despite thawing conditions.

Thin ice on 1st pitch - 58m, led to base of LH icefall. Second pitch excellent ice, sustained but never intinidating - 55m. Go left up grooves, but stick to RH side of ridge - 55m. Fourth pitch can be short, 30m to sling threaded through large block. If you go to 60m then belays are hard to find. Pitches 5 & 6 easier, but very spaced gear, which is scary if the snow is hollow/crusty. Exit easily onto plateau just left of shelter.
