This was my first ever route climbed in Wales as well as the first route I have lead climbed and I throughly enjoyed it. This was the most polished route I have ever climbed and found it quite difficult in places. Mitch lead first two pitches and I led the last, the chimney. Would definately return and do this climb again. The descent was difficult with the previous rain and I got throughly soaked.

Excellent route with a bit of everything. Intended to climb on east face, but heavy rain meant we scrambled down the north ridge to milestone and sunshine. Started up the leftward-slanting diagonal crack. Enjoyed the traverse and the chimney (bit wet and hauled sacks). Abseiled off down a wet gulley. Rod led most pitches.

Did P1 only. Nice little pitch - running with water though (that would be to do with the rain falling). Investigated setting this up as a TR option for groups. Set-up easy enough; retrievable abseil too, but rope stretch on 60m of rope would be a bit off-putting. Maybe to set as a proper top-rope, but then again communication with group would be tricky at 30m.

Wow! What an amazing route. Sustained and quite hard for the grade. Led P1 (overhang start) and P3 (hand traverse). The 'interesting' finish to the hand traverse was possibly the most scared I've ever been on a lead, given the extremely polished rock, how far I was from my last piece of gear and the swing potential. Thought I would going to die! (NB. this is the second time I've said this in a week regarding a North Wales 'classic' VDiff!!!)

Belay behind the big bolder with the hand traverse running along the bottom. There are good Slings and thread belays. 4th pitch is a tricky chimney in which there was no other way but throwing the whole body into it!

Last day of a five days course at the Brenin. Had never climbed before this week and my arms were absolute agony whilst belaying. The arm pain made retriving a threaded sling anchor on a bit with no foot hold interesting.

We sort of loosely followed a Vdiff route over the face of the crag, not sure what the route was called. We then abseiled off to the right (as if you were facing the crag) of the crag. Was wet and horrible, the route was very easy, not the most enjoyable climb. Good to get out though.

Lead the first and third pitches. Great climb although strayed off route on to Milestone Super Direct. Learnt a valuable lesson about extending gear as all bar one piece pulled out on the first pitch...good job I didn't fall!
