Felt a bit silly after Feathered friends and May crack. Not a patch on them. Felt very comfortable, good placing for some protection, but must admit after seconding my mate's diff and v.diff on the crag I would have preferred to solo this than them! reckon could be downgraded to HS or even severe. Still nice though, nicer than May crack which I reckon should be HVS 4c:-)

In the recent Eastern Grit this has been down-graded to an HS. To be honest I'm not sure I would've given it a go if I'd seen VS in the book cos it was my first outing and only my second lead since last August, but with a #1 nut and a size 3 Zero I felt it was good value for money!!

As height is gained, gradient reduces, but so do the breaks. A sharp pebble in the lip of one gave enough finger purchase to get the feet sorted out for a fairly committing sequence to the top. Well worth at least one star in my view, even though it's short - Black Slab at Burbage North gets one.
