The crag is owned and managed by Natural England and located in the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve.
Reason: Nesting Birds
2024 - IMPORTANT NEW UPDATE: The whole crag restriction is back in force (5pm 9th May). After lifting the restriction yesterday, the Peregrines were unfortunately observed to be significantly disturbed by the presence of climbers even well away from the restricted area. Thus Natural England have changed the signs on site and the whole crag is likely to remain restricted for the rest of the breeding season.
Rockfax Description
1) 4c, 20m. Climb the shallow groove with an awkward wide crack just right of the tree at the foot of the face - steeper than it looks. As it fades, trend right to a belay and good stance on the terrace.
2) 4c, 25m. Follow the slabby left wall of the open groove, then trend up left again up the loose and grassy scoop above. Finish up the fine but short-lived jamming crack high on the left. © Rockfax

βeta: Good first pitch, 2nd pitch the top wall below the prow is really loose and very vegetated making it not pleasant, run out and a bit dangerous, more like HVS 4c. Must have got worse i reckon, won't bother again !!

βeta: A bit loose on top wall but no more than other stuff here. Better than Medusa in my opinion. | βeta?
