Thanks for your comments. The exposure on this pic is 8 sec, at f13. I had a .9 and a .6 grad to keep the sky dark and iso of 50. I thought a longer exposure should absorb more of the colour on the rocks, dont know if this is true or not?

You are so lucky to be living on Skye with all that photographic & climbing potential, and can get out when the weather clears. I have had something like 16 trips to Skye and can recall good weather on only 2 occasions!
