Vaguely remember reading something in Climb ages ago about a prominent local wad feeling a bit spooked whilst soloing it, only for a flake to snap on the next - roped - customer. Is that it?

i can assure you those flakes aint solid.only takes a bit of wet weather.i soloed it once but would not again due to the flakes and the risk of breakage

Back in the "early" days, ie 1970's I saw a bloke solo up this, and then solo back down it, wearing wellingtons !!!!!
