Are two belayers ethical? ;)
Oli - 16/Jan/07
I'm desperate to do this when the weather picks up and I get a good day at The Roaches. I was thinking about the two belayers with one on the tree and decided it is ethical. Its still ground up innit! Now that Fiend, the ethics king, has done it like this I know its sound.

Will, it's been recommended by two (I think) BMC guides, I don't think it's much of an issue, just sensible and you still get plenty of "feel" on the route.

likin the use of the tree.

I didn't have two belayers, I fell from the crack, I hit the corner with a hell of a thump, I couldn't put my shoes/socks on the next day, I was actually on 'Up the Swanee' by mistake.
