Hi My name is Andy, I live in the lake District. I was born in Cornwall but most of my life has been spent in Kent & Buckinghamshire. I class myself as a hill walker but also like walking mountains. I have not been walking for long, about 2 years so far so a little late in starting. Wish I had started sooner as realise how much I have missed, would love to have more experience and be able to do more but in time hopefully that will all come. I am single and so I can spend as much time as I like out on the hills or fells walking. Now living in the Lakes I am planning plenty of walks and days on the mountains. I cannot boast endless amounts of walks, peaks or summits but what I have done I have enjoyed and I hope many more to go. I am off to Snowdonia on the 15th Aprl, will let you know how that goes and in July I am walking coast to coast, all my walking is solo and its what I am use to. If I do meet you along the trail then I always enjoy a chat so maybe one day but till then enjoy and keep safe.
Update as from October 2014. I have now completed my Coast to Coast and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed something so much. I completed it in 11 days and yes at times it was hard as I was carrying all my gear, tent, clothes, food & cooker etc and wild camped it all but 2 nights but i had a blast. I am in the process of moving and hopefully to the Lake District so lots more mountain days coming up.
Update, Snowdonia was fantastic and as of Nov 2014 I shall be living in the Lakes so much more mountain time.
