WINNER - Win a Pair of Five Ten Five Tennies Competition

WINNER: adam94

Over 30 years ago Five Ten released what could be best described as the world's first approach shoe: the Five Tennie. Designed to blend the features of a climbing shoe with a casual sneaker, it could be used for everything from getting to the climb to getting up it. With Five Ten's uniquely sticky Stealth rubber compound climbing Five Ten really wasn't out of the question - something that brand ambassador Tom Randall proved a few years ago with the previous model.

With the new technical features, the level of performance and comfort has been increased to create the best all-day mission shoe.

  • Original 5.10 Stealth S1 dotty outsole modified to improve unbeatable grip on soft dirt, with a climbing zone on the forefoot for technical edging.

  • An extended toe rand provides added friction and durability.

  • Drophill of 10mm between rear and forefoot.

  • Sock construction for ease entry of and more comfort. ¾ lacing provides a technical fit.

This competition has now closed.

Alas I don't think these will cope with standing in aiders for a week - nor help my feet to cope with the experience. :-(

Be interesting to see if they have a new 'Guide Tennie' coming out later this year, as they certainly had the lateral support to cope with daylong etrier use.

We'll certainly keep an eye out when we see them at OutDoor in July and keep you posted accordingly.
