COMPETITION: WINNER - Win a pair of Hanwag Tatra II GTX boots

WINNER: Rory Shaw

As temperatures drop and the nights grow darker, UKC has teamed up with Hanwag to offer one user the chance to win a brand-new pair of the brand's bestselling Tatra II GTX boots.

A high-performance, 3-season boot, the Tatras take on challenging treks, rocky scree and muddy fells with ease, making them the perfect footwear partner for the winter months. Available in an extensive range of fits including standard, narrow, wide and even bunion, the Tatra II's combination of superb comfort and stability paired with exceptional performance has cemented their popularity within the Hanwag collection. Updated in 2018 to be better than ever, the latest incarnation of the boot offers even greater functionality.

Handcrafted in Europe, the Tatra II GTX has a classic design, yet is packed full of the latest materials and design features. Its premium nubuck upper is durable enough to cope with the demands of rough terrain and the boot has been developed with integrated flex zones that enable the natural movement of your ankle as you walk. The addition of a Gore-Tex® lining ensures feet stay dry and comfortable, no matter how wet the weather gets.

Underfoot comfort is taken care of too thanks to an advanced footbed which has been developed to offer an optimum blend of moisture-wicking and cushioning underfoot. The Tatra II also feature Hanwag's unique AW Integral sole unit which is made from premium Vibram® rubber and provides excellent grip and stability. A two-zone lacing system with a lace locking clamp at the ankle makes it easy to achieve the perfect fit and the 2018 update saw all of the Tatra's lace hooks and other hardware upgraded to cast metal for ultimate durability.
