Overview

The Chamois Mountaineering Centre has 46 beds for hire and is ideal for use by mountaineering clubs, hill-walking groups, university climbing clubs, school & college groups and other groups wishing to participate in outdoor activities in Snowdonia and North Wales. The centre is within a short drive of Llanberis and Caernarfon and offers self-catered, bunk bed style accommodation and can be booked for weekends or longer periods. It is within easy reach of all of the popular hill walking areas such as the Llanberis Pass, Ogwen and Beddgelert and is ideally situated for any group wishing to walk, mountaineer or climb in the mountains of Snowdonia. It is even possible to walk from the centre over Moel Eilio and thence to the summit of Snowdon itself. The centre forms an excellent base for rock climbing at areas such as the Dinorwig slate quarries, the Llanberis Pass and Tremadog. Canoeing and sailing facilities are also easily accessible at the coast and on Anglesey.
