I have been mountaineering and trekking, all over the world, for over 30 years and am a qualified summer Mountain Leader, hold my Single Pitch Award, recently passed my IML speed navigation and am now an
Aspirant International Mountain Leader looking forward to completing the winter aspect of the qualification. I am also a fully qualified teacher with experience teaching both primary and secondary ages. I have extensive worldwide experience from taking scientists deep into the Antarctic while working for the British Antarctic Survey, working with local Duke of Edinburgh Award groups, facilitating adventurous activities for local authority youth service groups and instructing school children in climbing, walking and kayaking.

I have trekked and climbed from Antarctica, in summer and winter, to the European Alps and from Patagonia to Nepal and Africa.

I enjoy the challenge of working in the outdoors, with individuals and groups of all ages, providing enjoyable, challenging and safe experiences.
