The University of Aberdeen Mountaineering Club. We Climb, Hill walk, Mountaineer and Ski-tour.

Lairig is one of the most active, if not the most active student mountaineering club in the UK, with trips every fortnight to all areas of the Scottish mountains. We engage in all aspects of Scottish mountaineering: rock climbing, winter climbing and mountain walking. Members also go on trips to climb in the Alps most summers. People of all abilities are very welcome. However, beginners are strongly encouraged to act upon the advice of more experienced members and learn vital skills for self-sufficiency in the mountains. The club prides itself on its long history of older, more experienced members passing down skills to new members on an informal basis. We are definitely not guides; however winter skills courses with guides are on the agenda for this coming year.
