Another wild adventure. Page lead the first pitch and after a wandering through the chasm for 20 minutes discovered the windy arete and an exciting belay ledge at the top of the giant flake. The 2nd pitch felt extrmely undergraded to me and was exciting in the high really quite exciting in high wind and I was grateful for the in situ pitons. Easy access to the ridge and great views. We decended via 3 abseils down the gully by fixed anchor points. On the 3rd abseil page dislodged an oven sized block which fell 20m and crashed and tumbled through the trees narrowly missing another climber. Page continued until he shouted 'the rope's f**ked! The 2 remaining strands of the core had jammed in his prussic. I advised him to very quickly clip to a bolt or a tree but luckily he was on the ground. I think we got off luckly losing only 8m of rope. Thanks for lending us your 70m rope Rob - sorry again!
