It's hard to imagine a better a route being much better than this.. The runouts were definitely exciting too.

Pitch 1 only. We were stuck behind the slowest pair of climbers in existence and gave up after hours uncomfortably hanging on the belay. On the positive side, it was a very nice pitch of climbing and one of very few things I climbed cleanly on the trip.

Doomed from the beginning. After driving most of the way to Les Vignes, we realised that the Rockfax has labelled the road wrong in the map. We waited in the car for the rain to stop (it did) but then were foiled by starting after the slowest party in the world. Seriously. From the second getting to the top of P1 (we set off shortly after this), it took 3 hours before they both arrived at the top of P2. By this time we were baking in the sun, but also looking at a finish in the dark so just bailed.

P2. Looked good in the guidebook, looked even better from the front door of our Gite and better again stood at the foot of it. P1 felt like a shocker at 5+ but balances out after that. Brillaint, airy climbing in a superb position.

Fantastic line; pretty tough first pitch!

First pitch felt tough for 5+. Great route.

Pitch 2. Started late after the long drive down and it got dark and very very cold. Stunning route.

Mega route, great line for the grade. Led last pitch, belayed right on top, and a vulture glided at me and cruised just over my head!
