Aled Williams 1 Aug Lead dnf Turned our team around. Decided to do this route as a quick hit before a nightly thunderstorm. after getting just below 4000m I saw a weather front move in which looked stormy so we backed off.

neal 14 Sep, 2018 AltLd From a bivi just after the Pfulwe col. Rained/snowed heavily overnight (got soaked in my bivi bag). Some good early Scottish season style mixed climbing on the final summit cliffs. Intended to continue along N ridge traverse, but poor visibility and snow on rocks meant we were going slower than planned so descended same way. Moran guide description ok. There is now a path that goes over the summit of Pfulwe, but the descent from this to the ridge isn't great - better to stick to the guidebook description and contour round L (north) from the col - infrequent cairns, but TBH it doesn't matter that much which exact line you take. The "vague ridge" higher up is pretty chossy late season, but ok if you mostly stick to the crest. Abseiled most of the initial descent to the Rimpfischsattel.

aldoh 4 Sep, 2018 AltLd O/S AC Saas Fee Meet. Descended too low at the rockband below the north ridge (3,660m), leading us into heavily crevassed area. Lost too much time attempting to cross crevasses, resulting in decision to turn back at ~9am

EuanM 6 Sep, 2017 Lead A long but very enjoyable day, starting from Flu alp at 3:45am. Only two on the route all day. Conditions were ok, very dry, the gully was mostly ice, a bit tricky on descent.

mysterion 26 Sep, 2015 Solo Near perfect conditions with nobody else around. Second attempt - on first (sept 2014) I missed the traverse around Pfulwe in the dark - so timed it to arrive at traverse by dawn, but then ran out of time at 5.5 hours at 10:30 around 3900 metres (halfway up the rock band) and turned back. For an Alpine beginner/improver the height is not the issue, it is the length at height - more than one day acclimatisation needed! And that bloody Pfulwe traverse (key is to fork right almost immediately once over the pass then drop slightly and contour around then up slightly to a shelf on the side of Pfulwe at the same height as the pass).
