The easiest and most popular of the multi-pitch outings skirts the right edge of the Crescendo Cave and starts right under it. The original Rocklands bolts were part of a suspect batch and showed signs of corrosion soon after being placed. The route was rebolted in 2015.

Amazing route. Did it as 6 pitches. P1-3 me, P4/5, P6 me, P7 (crux), P8/9 me (crux2), P10/11 First crux is a layback off a shiny block with no feet. We aided it. Second crux is delicate but fun.

Mega day out... awesome! Did it as a 3 on one 80m rope, leader tying into the middle and bringing up both seconds in guide mode. Unfortunately couldn't link any pitches or simul climb. Got the 7am ferry, and the approach took just over 1 hour, we were the first at the route with one other party an hour later. Climbing took 6 hours which isn't bad for all 11 pitches. Crux pitch is indeed a bit stiff, but really cool, and could suit either burly or techy climbers. Some other pitches higher up were 3 star for sure. The descent was a bit of a shitshow, and took several hours. The first half down to the church is pretty rough, and not to be underestimated. After the church it feels like a motorway by comparison. We took around 4 litres of water total and it was just barely enough, so pack a little extra. All in all it was a 10 hour round trip, a long one, but a good one... the beer and jump into the sea at the harbour was worth it.

Nice day out, completed route in just over two hours. The team ahead let us climb past which was very kind as it meant we didn't have to wait. Forgot the descent description so ended up taking a rather scenic route to Irox. We set off following blue paint and cairns which then disappeared, but we found our way down under Lambda crag.

Hiked out of Telendos village at 5am. Found the route OK depsite being mobbed by mosquitos. Climbing was all going well: linked the first 6 pitches into 3, up to the crux pitch. Now I don't know if this had already lost holds on the layback - it felt hard for 6a - but as I put my left hand on a catch in the crack, when getting my feet high, the catch blew, and tried to slice off the top of my index finger with it. Emergency taping was done whilst hanging off the draws...and I dropped my chalk bag whilst trying to get my rucksack off. Managed to sort it all out - sorry about the blood everywhere, guys! - and ended up aiding through the crux. Some antiseptic wipes and superglue at the anchor rescued the situation, and we climbed on, topping out after 3.5 hours, linking all the pitches either side of the crux 6a. Good fun, despite the drama. Obviously I didn't pay close attention to the descent notes as always, and so the walk off ended up being three hours. (Who is the TWAT leaving decoy cairns on the top of Telendos, several different groups of which lead to ass nowhere?!) Oh well, all adds up to a nice mini epic. Type 2 fun, like most multitpiches in my life.

Led 5 and 6 combined and 9. Andy did 1+ 2 combined, 7 and 10 and 11 combined. K did 3 + 4 combined, and 8. The first 6 pitches took an hour then the climbing starts. The 6a pitch has a very hard awkward move. The other 6a pitch is a lovely traverse. It should be less than an hour to the foot of the route. You need to scramble up a fair way and it is not well marked. Taking the boat doesn't really save time as you get dropped off via the north face to the two folk heading up to Wild country arrived at about the same time from the same ferry boat 30 euros lighter each. The walk is mainly a pleasant amble and a lovely start to the day. Definitely not as good a route as wild country though. The walk off starts to get tiresome in the heat

First walked a bit wrong, we went directly to the left from the harbour along the sea, but you have to walk into the city and then left. Watch out for nest of birds when walking towards the route. Managed to do the climb relaxing in 3:45. Good walk off, and went swimming at the other side. Nice day out! Logbook is full, but we managed to write on the backcover. Thanks for the great adventure

furbrow 01/Jun/14 AltLd

Blue paint dots take you all the way to the start. There is a book to sign at the top (in a tin behind a rock a couple of feet away from the last belay)although when we were there it was nearly full. The descent is marked by cairns. The first is near the top belay and if you keep walking straight on past it you'll see the second. Go to the top of the north face and turn right then after a while a cairn marks the way down. The first half of the route is fairly broken but the top half earns its stars. The resident falcons put on a superb display of flying.

I lead pitches 1,3,5,7,9&11, Ben lead pitches 2,4,6,8&10. I lead both 6a's pitches cleanly. Amazing climbing, easier lower down but more difficult as you got up higher. The first 6a (pitch 7) has a funky arete style overhang rock to negotiate, not many holds and a little tricky. The second 6a is 200meteres off the ground with an exposed feeling and involves 2 tricky moves - one to move around and onto a big tufa block and the other to get up and past it. Great traverse climbing follows. An epic and memorable multi-pitch, a full day affair and a long and slow walk off at the end - it's only 1 1/2 hours but feels like a lot longer!!!

Great route, but sadly a party of THREE (from the UK, I'm ashamed to say) decided to rush to start ahead of us and then took pretty much forever to climb it - they were struggling on pitches we could fly up. The waiting became hours & a German couple tried to "push in" leading to a threat of intervention (ie. tying them off). This should have been a great day out but instead we remember it for the wrong reasons. Oh, I aided the crux move on the 6a pitch - so what?

with Liz
Peter Metcalfe 21/Oct/09 AltLd

Excellent route: crux is a strenuous 6a layback; otherwise very pleasant climbing in amazing situations. A rather slow party who'd raced to get on the route first marred the experience somewhat: couldn't they see they were causing a log-jam of teams below them? Apart from waiting for them to finish faffing about, it meant the rest of us had to deal with a stroppy German couple preparing to climb over us on the crux.
