50m, 3 pitches. Deviates out right from the Original Route above the first belay, then finishes directly up the steep crack in the centre of the face. Easier and better, though not without its appropriate share of sand and birds.

Led p1 and 3. Rock quality is poor but it's a 3* adventure. Swam over a few hours before low tide which meant we could get up and down and then swim back right at low tide. Windy but otherwise a decent day!

Cracking day out in all respects. Route better quality than I had expected.

Accessed by possibly the best homemade raft ever to set sail

Rushed up there from Blackburn Saturday evening to catch the Sunday morning tide and supposed weather window. Rained on the approach which did not bode well, but then the sun came out whilst climbing and it turned into a cracking day. Excellent expedition and excellent setting, but the actual climbing and the rock itself lacked any real quality. A brilliant adventure though.

Led pitches 1 and 3. The full sea stack experience - beautiful location, long walk-in and awkward approach, compulsory swim, tidal complications, dubious rock, dodgy belays, puking fulmars... a grand day out.

Lead P1 + P3. My final tick of the 3 'classic' Scottish stacks and by far the trickiest approach!

Led P2. Great day out, taking the 'wrong' descent/ascent gully added a little too much to the excitement

The cross country bike ride to Sandwood Bay and the mandatory swim to get to the stack made this a wild and exciting sea stack climbing adventure. What a fun and memorable day :)

Definitely an adventure, got soaked getting to the stack and spent most of the climb conscious of the return journey back to the mainland. A fantastic day on an exceptionally memorable climb.

Beautiful day. Refreshing swim. Lovely easy climbing although quite a few fulmars on route.
