Rob Greenwood - UKClimbing 7 Sep, 2018 Lead RP Went for the onsight, failed the onsight. Went for a second burn, but failed to remember any of it. Third time did the trick, although I was so focussed I skipped the clip in/around the crux sequence at around 2/3rds height - only realised once I was well above it. Considering it’s already thought of as run out, this took it to the next level somewhat!

shed_hed 27 Sep, 2015 Lead RP Put the draws in to warm up and to refine beta, much better when I knew what was coming. Put a long sling to half the final run out. Had a couple of goes at the start but kept greasing off. When it went it was still greasy at the start but just about managed to latch the next hold before I slipped off the flatties. Had to rest my way up it after the start but it was OK, and the top was getting a slight breeze so the holds were grease free. It's not easy clipping the chains from the finishing hold!

shed_hed 26 Sep, 2015 Lead dog Some long run outs on this one! Took a long time for me to work out the moves and get the draws in with the prospect of some big whippers holding me back. Great climbing that's well bolted at the start and the run outs higher up are actually not too bad as it's easier, except the run out to the chains - I'll be putting a long sling on that section. Hard sections with good rests in between.

ksjs 2 Sep, 2013 Lead dog 1st go clips in and worked. 2nd go clean to start of tricky section about 2/3rds of the way up - got intimidated and felt I didn't like the rope I was climbing on. In reality it was probably a combination of spaced bolting, an exposed situation and just not knowing those moves that well. A learning experience. Superb climbing, very out there!

Glyn 22 Aug, 2013 Lead β Did not expect to flash this. Tricky bouldery sections which are hard to read interspersed with good shakeouts. Great route. Nice and long

halfmanhalfbiscuit 21 Sep, 2011 Lead RP Wow, what a great route, climbs like an E6 wall climb - committing runnout sequences between good rest holds. (Previously thought this was hard but changed my opinion after doing it again as a warmup from cold - vertical sport routes like this which don't require 'much' fitness might feel hard for the grade to flash/onsight but are easy for the grade once you know the moves as you can rest your way up them, in the same way as some 'hard' trad climbing is easy to redpoint.)
