25m. An excellent route which starts beneath the road bridge on the left hand side of the gorge. Jumping over the barriers allows access to a point at which the river goes beneath the gorge wall and affords an easy step across to the ice. After an initial steep to vertical section, the ice becomes shallower and more stepped leading you to a bolted belay.

Not formed at bottom so dry tooled start 10 ft. Overhanging and hard with dodgy pro!!! After 35 mins had got onto ice but at 20 feet bottled it in exhausted heap. Steve then finished route, also thought hard. DEFINITELY not WI-3 in current conditions!

James lead this climb after 2 ice screws a very heavy spin drift avalanche fell on us, therefore aborted the climb.
