βeta: Not at all clear why this should be considered anything close to a 3 star classic. The under-inspiring approach which is part headsratch and part bush craft, is off putting enough. The route is easy enough to find, but hardly inspiring at first blush. A better alternative is pitch 1, with a diversion into the direct crack of Raindrops for a rewarding and fun HVS, but given the dirtiness of the Raindrops finish a return to the Butch Cassidy line makes sense (splitting the pitch at the obvious sentry box ledge, as we did). As another has noted, the fixed abseil has mysteriously disappeared, but we left doubled slings and a screw gate you lucky people | ||
