Fine climbing and position. The wall left of the corner, tip-toe around the arete with feet on the horizontal break and finish up the front face. Fixed draw in place to aid stripping.

Still with boots 2 sizes too big stuffed with socks. Least now with 'new' crampons and 33% less pointy bits to deal with.

Comedy moment when I got the first flattie going past the in situ draw, said 'it's thin but it holds' and promptly popped off it. Should have been more careful - or used the better flattie just to the right!

Warm up to strip gear. Still a class technical route.

Big, scary run-out going around the arete for a short people!

An axe popped off before reaching the arete and I fell off. Gutted.

Second warm up route. Pretty straightforward except the step up to clip the bolt is still precarious - which is good fun.

The best route of the weekend. Grateful to the climbers who directed me towards the lower-off (it is totally hidden at close quarters).

Warm up - fairly hard work even though I knew the route! On balance I'd say a decent M6. This time finished at the lower off by doing the precarious move to clip the penultimate bolt, then traversing just above the lip of the overhang into the finishing groove, which proved fairly tricky.

Ripped out of 'bomber' slot (prob not quite right spot) by 3rd clip and touched down on rope stretch! Got on again and came off around corner - rubbish! Will get on again as a warm up.

Great little route, quite realistic in places with good hooks and torques (so good that an axe got stuck and took a while to dislodge), then airy and delicate. Finished at the bolt just round the corner as didn't realise the lower off was up and left of there - thought it was odd for there to be a single bolt! Phil had an exciting time leading it afterwards - unexpectedly came off just as he was about to clip the third bolt and hit the ground with his feet on rope stretch. He was fine though and finished it.
