Rockfax Description
This big route tackles the bulging wall beneath the slab with some superb, hard climbing. Start at low tide, on the large boulder under the wall. Climb up to a ledge below a roof. Traverse right along a break for 5m to a small ledge. Move up to reach a flat hold and then pull up and right with difficulty to gain a jug. Move right again to more good holds then reach back left to a thread. Climb past this onto the slab and have a breather. Finish up the wall between the two finishes of Lucky Strike. © Rockfax

ferdia 15 Apr, 2017 Lead G/U stalled a few times on the hard section after initial traverse, which was pretty greasy. the gear on the traverse is quite fiddly but you can place a few bits. managed in one go in the end sort of yo yo from the big ledge. very anti style so quite pleased. think finishing up lucky strike would make a better route as the top is not the hard part.

Duncan Campbell 30 May, 2016 Lead O/S Took a couple of up and downs to sort gear and work out exactly where to go despite the chalk. Once committed there is a tricky section which would be hard if really greasy. I picked the time of day perfectly and it wasn't too bad. Threads seemed in good nick. Fun route - relatively steady at the grade.

brunomarks 7 Jun, 2015 Lead O/S Brilliant territory and great route. The hard climbing is a fairly short section but it's quite difficult to read the rock (no chalk when I did it and a bit wet). Also tricky to find the gear in some parts at the start of the hard section and plenty potential to get pumped doing this and working out the moves.

Andrew Barker 15 Aug, 2010 Lead O/S Made up for falling off John Wayne a week ago. I was as close to falling off this as I was to onsighting JW. Took a few ups and downs from the ledge to work out the moves to the jug and had to fight the last few moves onto the slab. Great fun!
