Absolute epic. The rock was damp at best and very slippery. Both of us took a leader fall – Dan's could have been a factor-two fall, if he hadn't stopped at the belay ledge. I ended up in resorting to aid in an upper pitch. After completing Mallory's Slab, we decided to escape via Terminal Arete, but I went off route, so decided to retreat by abseiling along Shallow Gully. It started raining. It needed 8 pitches of abseil, as we had only a 50m single rope. The anchors were overall poor, and I had to dig deep to find all the knowledges I had to improve the anchor. Hours later we managed to get off the mountain with not much gear left, exhausted, but survived to our great pleasure. Total nightmare experience.

Vague but interesting. I found an ancient piton at one point, the relic of some bygone era. The sense of history and the past can be found at any moment on this crag.
