Butel 1 Oct, 2018 AltLd O/S An absolutely epic quest up the most fanstatstic of Diffs in north wales. A truely memorable route. Really pushed my bounderies on this one with the great exposure you are exposed to especially on the ridge on the ridge pitch. The views we viewed were second to non and i must add we climbed this is BOOTS. This helped with the weight as we didnt have to carry rock shoes up thank goodness. A big day 16 hrs in total from the pass and back. 5 star route. I give a grade of Diff 3a as there was certainly some technical moves with great consequences.

Northern Star 8 Jul, 2017 Lead Fantastic route in an atmospheric location with amazing views. The slanting corner pitch and the steeper second to last pitch the highlights (and the arete of course). After the first pitch there's plenty of gear including a very old in-situ peg on the final pitch. Nice to arrive on the path at the top, to the bemusement of all the hikers.

Neil Watson 11 Jun, 2016 2nd The main objective of doing this route was so CJ could nab the Geocache. Did it in boots, which with damp rock/drizzle made it a fair bit more difficult. Great route but the guide can be a bit vague especially lower down; following the polish seemed the better option. Got to the belay above, what I would call the notch and had trouble finding the route. Abbed down two pitches then went back up the same. Found the way to the left, under the over hangs. Great route and would do it again in an instance.

asmith37 27 Sep, 2009 AltLd Nice easy day out.Did in 7 pitches, led pitches 1,2,4 & 6, topped out in about 4 hours. First 2 pitches were very easy but hardly any protection, found having a 60m rope useful. Climbing was a lot better from then on, with a very awkward groove on pitch 4 just before the arete. Our pitch 6 up the steep quartz wall and steep groove were excellent.

Howard J 19 Jul, 2009 - Climbed alpine-style in big boots with Darren and Rachel Smith, following John Waterhouse, Fiona Leach and Adam on a separate rope. Good fun, but I found the wet groove near the top a lot harder than Diff! A big day out - we started from Llyn Gwynant campsite and came up the pipeline, then descended via the Watkin Path back to the campsite.

snakes77 2 May, 2009 2nd Climb started fairly straight forward, almost just a scramble. It got a little more tricky on the undercut groove, good fun tho. the knife edge is I guess what this climb is all about, not as hard as it looks - we did the climb in 8 pitches as a posse to the 10 which the book said. the last pitch I'm still not sure we went right or a little off route BUT it seemed alot more than a diff! but I still managed it with a little thought, which I certainly wouldn't of had a few weeks ago. The final pitch made the climb to be fair. Very good day out ...

monkey1 2 May, 2009 Lead O/S Fantastic day out, planned to go on to the Horshoe but opted for the shorter Eastwards descent as we were knackered by then. Did in 8 Pitches, all fairly straight forward with some nice exposure, 4th Pitch is the best up the exposed slab before getting on the arete itself. Need to be very careful to stay on route - We went off route on what should have been the last 2 easy pitches, and ended up doing a 40m pitch that felt more like severe (lots of gear though). Great day out, stunning scenery for the walk in and had the route to ourselves. My climbing partners 3rd big multi pitch
