JonLongshanks 4 Mar, 2018 2nd O/S Climbed in two pairs. Got bored of queing so went exploring random small icefalls. Got very wet. Came back and scratched up the gully, good fun, still queing behind a slow party of 3. Bit of a tough last pitch for Rachel, dripping wet and getting dark!

Skinny Kin 6 Apr, 2013 Solo O/S Deliberately turned up at the bottom of the route at 2 pm, great result! No traffic. 2nd pitch was well dodgy to solo in lean/chopped up conditions. Fighting with my picks to stay in. 1 of them actually ripped out! The other 1 stayed put. THANK GOD! Otherwise, I wouldn't be writing this! The ice got better and better. In fact, top pitch had so much ice, it was worth just abbing down to do just that. Later another party topping out as I approached my sack at the bottom. So early start isn't recommended, especially for April. No need. Have a lie-in!

jimorothy 4 Apr, 2013 Lead Shockingly good! At last! Thin at bottom, pushing tech 4/IV pitch 1/2. Rest = sustained III. Well worth us coming out of semi-winter-climbing-have-baby-now-more-responsible-retirement for! Surprise was how damn sublime the middle stuff was. Lovely and airy end to last pitch. Winter climbing doesn't get any better.

Done in three long pitches, of which Matt led the first two. Led the wonderful last pitch which was in superb condition.
