UKC

280m, 9 pitches. Start below and to the north slightly of the desert shield itself below an obvious crack that slices up through dark sandstone on the second pitch. The route climbs five fantatsic free climbing pitches with a 5.11a bolt protected crux before charging out right on a spectacular bolt ladder to reach the bottom of pitch seven on the exposed and wild headwall. Two C3 pitches will see you through some spectacular terrain and the most difficult section of the route.

There is a spectacular bivvy ledge at the top of pitch three with a barbeque pre installed, bring charcoal and sausages. The two key aid pieces require large quantities of brass off set nuts and a set or two of offset cams.

Bedford, Stack 1993.
