E4 6A Superb free route on rock much more heavily featured than most of El Capitain. It is common to fix the first two (5.11) pitches and bivi at the base but it is a very feasable "in a day" proposition. QUOTE Duncan Critchley (felt more like E5 to me, Moderator)The route is located high up the left side seemingly set apart from the main lump and is a bit of a trudge to get to.

markalmack 26 Oct, 2013 AltLd dog Fell leading the last crux pitch. Felt exhausted the whole way up. Felt like I would have enjoyed it more if I was fitter and had a slightly bigger pair of shoes on!

AdrianP 5 Oct, 2009 AltLd We went for speed over clean. 9h and two blocks, second jumarring and there was a lot of french free involved. Pleased to make it to the top just when it was getting dark. A snow storm hit the valley the same night at 2am...

Neil McA 28 May, 1989 AltLd O/S A great route with all the pitches (easy and hard) being classic. Cold start and we got no sun until reaching Thankgiving Ledge. We topped out at 3pm and descended quickly down the eastern ledges - momentarily thought about doing the East Buttress the same day (which would have been cool) but it was unplanned, we had no food and the frozen yogurt wagon in the valley was playing its tune.
