Phenomenal conditions and a really great line. Glacier is pretty broken at the base so we traversed in from the left and climbed a spur to the left of the couloir which took us to the base of the first real ice fall. Probably WI4, WI4+, WI5, M4, full 50-60m pitches (broken ground to the breche which we didn't do). Each pitch superb and atmospheric. Lots of trail breaking in powder but well worth it. 13 hours from Midi-Cham.

Gonna call it a DNF but climbed to the end of the difficulties which seems to be a fairly common turnaround. Don't really feel like we finished the route in the truest sense of the word though. Scrappy mixed with lots of unconsolidated powder higher up. Thin conditions made for some unusually cerebral ice climbing with a few physical undercut sections and the occasional patch of useless cruddy snow. Crossing the schrund is very spicy at the moment.
