Rockfax Description
20m. Rumoured to be the best HVS in Northumberland, there is only one way you will find out. A hard start on the left reaches finger-locks and runners then the crack unfurls in a most appealing fashion. The final crack has tricky moves to start, laybacking from the left is one solution. © Rockfax

carlh ?May, 2016 - An amazing route (probably the best I've climbed in Northumberland) with a bold start. I made the decision to protect the first move with preplaced and clipped gear. That said, the sequence fell into place nicely and I kicked myself for losing my on-sight. Better to be safe than sorry though I suppose as the landing isn't very good if you get it wrong. I managed to cleanly on-sight the rest, which involves a series of lovely 5a and 5b moves, with pretty good protection for Northumberland! A true 3 star single pitch route, which is well worth the walk in!

Sciguy 25 Oct, 2015 2nd dog Really delicate footholds + generous helping of Lichen = slips, Not into crack climbing but a great route.
